Script consulting, feature film and short film :
It begins with an initial conversation, to establish whether the work I offer is what you are looking for. During this exchange, the content of the screenplay stays out of the conversation — I need to discover it entirely, and without any preconceptions. This matters: it allows me to have an authentic first reading, and to measure the gap between what I read and the writer's intention.
Once the screenplay is received, I read it twice, in full detail, and take notes that will serve as a guiding thread for the script doctoring session.
The consultation follows, generally two to four weeks after receipt. It is a long, in-depth exchange - typically a half-day - from the macro to the micro, during which the writer and I explore and decide together why and how to refine and strengthen the screenplay, at every scale, wherever it is needed. The writer responds to my comments, reflections, suggestions and questions. It is a constructive, shared exchange that goes to the heart of the screenplay's mechanics, in service of telling the story as well as possible.
The writer takes the notes during the session, to ensure genuine ownership and clarity when rewriting. At the end of the consultation, they leave with perspective, a clear vision of their screenplay, their creativity relaunched, and they know how, what and why to rewrite.
I also offer ongoing writing support, using the same personalised approach, which can begin from the initial idea and continue through to the fully realised screenplay.
Individual writing workshops :
These are one-to-one sessions built around your text, or your idea. The method is the same as for script doctoring, adapted to an active, experiential approach: you learn screenplay mechanics and writing through your own project — structure, point of view, character construction, dramatic progression, dialogue, rhythm.
Each session passes on tools that are immediately usable in your ongoing writing. This builds greater autonomy and a progressively more considered craft, conscious of its narrative choices and their effects.
Other formats :
Treatment, series, documentary, novel, theatre, book, ongoing writing support, editing consultation: on request.
Although the 90pages method was born from cinema, it also applies to other forms of writing: novels, theatre, and singular narrative projects.
Consultations are held in Paris or remotely, in French or English.
Story structure, characters, arena and dramaturgy are all interdependent. Whatever the format or genre, I attach great importance to intention, coherence and detail, because they build truthfulness — and therefore emotion.
